About Rockridge Soccer Club
Rockridge Soccer club (RSC), part of the Jack London Youth Soccer Sports Leaque is an all volunteer organization serving over 1600 youth soccer players in North Oakland since 1972. We provide recreational and competitive team soccer for Elementary, Middle and High School boys and girls. We are currently open for team and new player registration. We also offer Scholarships for those who qualify.
Our purpose is to develop, promote and administer the game of soccer among the boys and girls, young men and women of our community. Rockridge Soccer Club (RSC) expects two things from each of its players: a positive attitude and a commitment to the game. Although the level of involvement varies among the Class III and Class IV teams, the level of commitment should not. Every player is expected to attend all practices and games. We provide camps, training, gear and uniforms for all our players. Our primary camps include, but not limited to Andy Bonchonsky Soccer Camps, CAL Camps and Jack Hyde Soccer Camps. Our training is held at the Sutton Soccer Center along with indoor training at the Bladium Sport Club. Gear and uniforms will be provided accordingly to U6, U8, U10, U12, U14, U16, U19, Class IV, Class III, STING levels. Rockridge Soccer is associated through the Jack London Youth Soccer League with the Class I, Bay Oaks Soccer Club.
We field teams at seven age levels from Under 6 to Under 19. Teams are coed at the youngest age group and then gender specific in all other ages. We field in both recreational and competitive teams. Our players are field into specific age groups such as U6 Micro Soccer, for youths ages 6 and under, U8 Soccer, for youths ages 8 and under, U10 Soccer, for youths ages 12 & older, and Class III Sting, a program for the competitive or select level of the Rockridge Soccer Club. If your child is naturally good at playing soccer, shows great potencial or seeks greater competition they can be given a chance to play at a higher level than recreational (class IV) soccer.
Rockridge Soccer Club (RSC) is commited to a culture of positive coaching, an environment where children can physically and emotionally thrive while learning to play soccer. Our club is a place where: Players Play, Coaches coach, Parents Cheer, Referees are Human. Every family must have a representative attend a Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) workshop the first year their player participates in the Rockridge Soccer Club.
Rockridge Soccer Club (RSC) teams play soccer within the Jack London Youth Soccer Sports Leaque and are affiliated with the California Youth Soccer Association and the United States Youth Soccer Association.
